Singing in the Rain

Tonight we got alot of rain but right at sunset (the best light) the sun came out! I was so excited because I have these boots that I have been dying to get her picture in. So, we rushed around the house gathering everything we needed and went to play in the puddles!

Our house is so over run with Thomas the train that this poor little girl even has to play with a Thomas umbrella!

This is the look I got when I asked her for one more. Needless to say, we were finished!!

blue-eyed boy

I had so much fun tonight! I got to meet one of the most laid back families with one of the smiliest little boys! (smiliest--real word?) He was absolutely adorable with his three little curls and brand new shiny front teeth! I was so excited about these that I had to go through them tonight! Brittany, I hope you enjoyed your "sneak peek"! Happy 1st Birthday!

Sweet Baby Claire, Part 2

If you remember I photographed Claire a couple of weeks ago and today we added a few with her brother! I always love seeing how big brothers and sisters interact with the new baby. Andrew really is so sweet with her but is completely annoyed by the crying!!! Andrew, you did such a great job today and I hope you like seeing yourself on the computer!

I had to post this one too because I just love it. I really want one like this of my kids but Lainey would never cooperate!

Perfect!

I could not have asked for a better shoot last night! The sunset lighting was perfect, the location was perfect (Traditions on Lovers Lane), and Jax and Ansley were perfect! We had so much fun playing together. Jax you did great smiling for the ladies and Ansley you were the perfect princess. I don't believe a word your mom says about you!!

Those little Castlen boys

These two boys absolutely cracked me up. It was nice to see that there are kids out there as busy as my own! We had lots of fun in the water and sand. I know their mom probably thinks we didn't get much but we did! I hope you enjoy them!

Settings- Bowling Green Country Club

This past fall I did most of my shoots at the Bowling Green Country Club. There were so many trees and shrubs that had great fall color. There is also alot of stone and these really cool old wooden steps that the kids love to play on. The only bad thing about fall is it gets busy really quick with everyone wanting pictures for their Christmas cards. So make sure and plan ahead!

Settings- Rivergreen

I absolutely love to do shoots at Rivergreen! I am just a huge fan of the beach look. All of the colors from the sand, water, grass, and stone are just beautiful. This setting is very relaxed, fun, and casual. I think the kids feel free to play and be themselves. That is when you get the most natural looks and really capture who they are.

Settings- Western's Campus

Western's campus is such a neat place. All of the stone walls, ivy, and trees make such a beautiful backdrop. I think it makes for a little bit more formal picture like smocked dresses, shortalls, and posed family pictures. Here are a few pictures taken there.

Sweet Baby Girl, Claire

I had the privilege of photographing one of the sweetest newborns this past week. Her little features were just perfect! Being around her made me want to have another baby--only for a split second! Thank you Thomas family for inviting me into your home to capture those little moments that fly by way to quickly. I can't wait to see what we can get of Andrew and Claire together!
