I have not been doing very well with this blog!! But I had to post another picture of this little girl that I posted about when she was a newborn. Now she is 6 months old and just still so sweet and adorable. Thank you Shelly for giving me this oppertunity to work with your family again!

Family time

 

I love to get shots of a family playing and interacting with each other! It is best if you can catch them just naturally playing together. I think these are also neat for Chistmas cards because that's what the holidays are all about, right?

My Sweet Girl

 

I finally got the picture I have had in me head for a long time! Lainey, in her favorite boots, the tall grass at my mom and dad's, and that look that is ALWAYS on her face! I love her spunk, and her attitude (although not always pleasant)-- I love you sweet girl!

If you are at all considering another baby then you shouldn't look!! I don't know how I keep getting blessed with these wonderful families! Everybody is so nice and welcoming when you come to their homes. Then the kids open up to you and it is just so fun!

OK, first of all I am so glad this is over! I am finally back to sleeping at night! Everything turned out great, better than great! Phew, am I glad I got some good ones! Now I know why wedding photographers charge so much! There is like crazy pressure. These two are so happy together! I love the way Amanda is looking at my brother. Congratulations you guys! We love you so much!

My little brother is getting married this weekend so this is a very special post for me! These 2 are twins but look and act nothing alike. They are complete opposites and are so much fun to play with! I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

oh summer

 

Tonight we were playing outside with all the neighborhood kids and you start to feel like you have to soak up the last little bit of summer that is left. I love fall but this summer has been so much fun with the kids that I kindof hate to see it go. I just love this shot of Lainey just taken it all in!

Lilly

 

I wanted this name for our little girl so bad! I still love it! Lilly did so great today despite the sprinkles and needing a nap! I love the colors in this picture. People are always scared to wear a lot of color but sometimes it is so bright, fresh, and fun. I am going to do a post soon on ideas of what to wear in fall pictures. So keep checking back.

This is the first time that this little boy has ever had his pictures made! I think he is a natural! His mom said he cried the whole way here (from Edmonson County) but you would have never known it. We had so much fun together and got lots of great shots. I hope his mom thinks it was worth the trip!

back in the groove.

It has taken me a while to get back in the groove of things. I guess I just didn't want to admit that vacation was actually over! But, I got to come back to a great family to work with. They were the most thoughtful family! Plus, they have 2 adorable little girls! I learned that Ava really likes Shreck and Bruester's ice cream but doesn't like having her picture taken with her new baby sister! Look how sweet they are!

Tropical Storm Fay

 

I know everyone has been worried about the tropical storm that is heading this way so I wanted to give you an update on how we're doing. We are under a tropical storm warning and they are expecting 10-12 inches of rain. The winds are getting really strong. There is a whistling sound in our condo that sounds like a jet taking off because of the wind coming through the crakes in the door. They have taken everything off the beach and put out the red flags. They also closed the pool and put up all of those chairs. We tried to walk down to the beach but the sand is blowing so bad that it feels like razors hitting your legs. We are planning on leaving in the morning unless it gets worse.

Captain Carter

 

We all went on a dolpin cruise last night and it was so neat! The kids loved it. The dolpins would come right up to the side of the boat and ride in the waves. Then they all got to take turns driving the boat!

Picture Perfect

It took a little while but we finally got some great pictures. When I look at these it makes me laugh because I know what all happened before we got these. Carter was running from the camera (the usual!), Lainey was terrified of being put down in the sand, Parker only wanted to role in the sand, and Peyton is just way to cool for all of this!! There was yelling, bribing, and then-- the smiles!

I don't know, she hates them both!! But, she sure does have a cute, dimply hiney!

Sun, Sand, and Surf

We are having so much fun on our vacation (now!). Lainey was sick and crying ever since Sunday but this morning we finally figured out what was wrong. She was completely constipated! BAD! I won't go into it on the blog but just know she is fine now and here is the first picture I got of her smiling!

The only bad thing now is that she hates the sand. But, we are working on that and she's getting a little better. Today we took her down to the beach and Aunt Bibi made recliners in the sand for her and Peyton. That was golden!

Parker and Carter have had so much fun together!! They have not fought or separated at all! I am tickled to death about that! Look how cute they are together!

The boys are so funny because they just won't stop to rest, so today Parker came in for a snack and this is how we found him!

I just have one more to show before I go to bed because everyone is asleep but me! I just love this one of Carter. How sweet is he?!

First Day of School

It's back to school time!! Yeah! I think I am the only one feeling that good about it. As you can see neither one of them was excited this morning! They both cried but did fine after I was gone. The pictures aren't great but they are the way our life is!



But, here they are happy with their after school treat! Ring pops! (or lolli-lolli's as Lainey calls them!)

And, I just had to post this one because I think it is just funny! When I picked her up today she had her name on her back and on her diapers. I don't know why that makes me laugh!
